imiwa? is built around your privacy. Short version: we don't collect anything about you.
imiwa? does not collect anything about you or your usage habits. All data you provide to imiwa? — vocabulary lists, flashcard decks, notes, and search history — remains local on your device and is never transmitted, sold, or otherwise made accessible to anyone other than yourself.
If you use iCloud sync, your vocabulary lists, decks, and notes are stored in your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to that data. imiwa? itself has no access to any iCloud-synced data beyond your own device.
If imiwa? crashes and you have enabled Share Analytics with App Developers in your iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymised diagnostic information with the developer (Pierre-Philippe di Costanzo). This data:
You can disable this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.
No. imiwa? does not track your location, usage patterns, or activity — inside or outside the app. imiwa? does not use any advertising or analytics SDKs.
No. imiwa? has never shown advertisements and has no plans to do so.
Since imiwa? does not collect or retain any of your personal data, there is nothing to sell. imiwa? does not participate in any data-sharing or data-monetisation programs.
imiwa? can use Apple Intelligence to provide on-device translation of dictionary glosses. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models. No text from imiwa? is sent to Apple's servers or any third-party servers for this purpose. Apple's own privacy policy governs how Apple Intelligence processes data on your device.
Apple provides aggregate sales data to all developers who distribute apps through the App Store. This data reports only total download counts — no personally identifying information. Apple's own privacy practices are described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
